Sep 15, 2022 · A deviation in LTAN occurs when the nodal rate of the orbit, mainly caused by the \(J_2\) effect, deviates from the average rate of the Sun’s motion. The implemented station keeping model tracks the current nodal rate, compares it to the rate of the Sun’s motion and integrates the deviation over time. This yields the deviation from the LTAN.
